VENICE TO GREECE on the Yachts of Seabourn Nov. 2010 - Written During the Pandemic of 2020

embe

It's the middle of May, 2020 and the entire world is in the midst of the Covid 19 Pandemic  -- definitely NOT the time to travel but a wonderful opportunity to remember fabulous trips and reminisce over the travel photos from our very favorite trip in November, 2010 (long before we two sisters started this travel blog).

As you can see from our blog, we've been lucky to travel on so many wonderful cruises and trips but be both agree that this was the BEST!  For the most part, we'll show you pictures of the places we've visited before, during and after this Yachts of Seabourn cruise, with very few wordy descriptions but you'll get the drift and understand that we're 10 years older and our brain-power isn't what it used to be.

Come along with us from Venice to Athens and we wish wonderful travels for all of you in the future.

11/3 to 11/5/2010 - Venice, Italy

The two of us flew to Venice from Miami where we had 3 days before we boarded the Yachts of Seabourn.

We had already booked a wonderful hotel on the Grand Canal and directly across from the train station with a fabulous view down the Grand Canal.

Our lovely Venice hotel ...blue painted arched windows

Coffee on the hotel patio.

The view from our window.

And then we began sight-seeing in Venice....

Bridge of Sighs

Piazza San Marco

San Marco Basilica

We found a small grocery store tucked away in the middle
of Venice and we found quart-size milk-type cartons of---
you got it --- VINO!

After 3 fun-filled days in Venice, we headed for the port and boarded the Yachts of Seabourn on the beautiful Odyssey.

A lovely refreshment in the port terminal  while we wait to
board the Odyssey.

Our suite -- complete with balcony.

An invitation to our first dinner, along with wine, fruit and pastries, awaited our arrival

And our bath with shower and separate luxurious
bathtub.

We opened a door at the end of our deck and what did we
find?  Our own private hot-tub with champagne
delivered by our waiter!  Yes, we were in heaven!

Sailing the Adriatic Sea...a cute little gift from our room stewardess, Inta.

Warm shawls delivered, by the waiters  on deck to ward off a chilly evening.

A cooking demonstration with our Chef          Fritz and Cruise Director.

And, of  course, we found the slots!

Lunch in our cabin was wonderful!

And who couldn't resist tea time?

PARTY!! PARTY!!

The best ship we've ever been on....small or large.

One of the many luxuries of cruising....room service breakfast!
